S Hook Clasps hook

Tools: Round Nose Pliers, Chain Nose Pliers and Side Cutter, Ball Peen Hammer, Steel Block, sand paper.

Materials: round, dead soft wire. Recommended Gauge- 14-20 gauge.

1) Snip a piece of wire 2 1/2”

2) Grasp the wire with your round nose pliers at the ½” mark.

3) Using your thumb or finger, bend the wire into a “U” shape.

4) Grasp the wire with your round nose pliers at the 2” mark.

5) Using your thumb or finger, bend the wire into a “U” shape in the opposite direction.

6) At the ends of the wire, using your round nose pliers, turn a 45 degree microbend in the opposite direction.

7) Put down the pliers and use your fingers to make your “U” more curvaceous.

8) Tape your clasp to the steel block.

9) Use the ball peen hammer to planish (hammer flat) the curves.

10) Use sand paper to smooth your sharp edges.
